Per journalist , the Reds have submitted their first formal bid worth €100 million (£83m/$104m) for Wirtz as they look to complete the transfer. Negotiations have started between the two clubs as Leverkusen will try to increase the transfer amount and decide the structure of the payment.

The report adds that it is only a matter of time before the deal becomes official, as both parties know that Wirtz is keen on joining the Premier League champions. The midfielder is now waiting for his club's green signal before he travels to Merseyside to complete his medical before formally signing for the English side.
